From a dining table...to a hall table: every piece of furniture you purchase from us is handmade with real wood in our nearby Amish Country. It will be a part of your family for many years!
Our Craftsmen take pride in what they create with their hands. They start with real wood grown in the forces of nature that shaped it. The grain lines, knot marks, etc. are unique to each plank of wood. With the skill that comes from working with their hands for years, they crafted your piece of furniture.

After careful wood preparation, our Craftsmen, hand apply the finest stain or paint. Gentle buffing, with attention to detail, results in aged character. Finally, it is all sealed to protect your beautiful piece of furniture from the spills and scratches of everday living.
How do you care for this carefully crafted piece of furniture?  How do you keep it beautiful for years to come? It's really as simple and natural as the wood from the tree in the forest where it all began. You want to use water. Dampen a soft rag with water and wipe it clean. Keep food particles, dust, etc, wiped clean frequently. Occasionally, (maybe once or twice a year) you may want to go beyond water and nurture the finish with a light coat of furniture wax or oil. Choose a high grade natural product with beeswax for the best results. Lightly apply, then buff it to a smooth finish. This will nourish the sealer the craftsmen finished your furniture with.

You will want to protect your furniture from both moisture and dryness. Your home atmosphere is essential to the wellbeing of your real wood furniture. Ideal humidity is no less than 30% and no more than 60% humidity.  Too little moisture could cause the wood to crack or even split. (And be aware of heat vents under or right beside your furniture,  as they are very likely to cause too much dry air.) Too much moisture will cause the wood to swell and drawers or doors could catch on the openings instead of working smoothly.
You have a one-of-a-kind, quality piece of furniture. Enjoy it well! Family will gather around in the every day moments. Laughter of friends will flow. United, around the uniqueness of you and the home you have styled...today...and for generations to come.

I like what you said about wiping furniture with a soft rag. I need to get a lift chair for my grandma. I'll have to make sure that it is properly upholstered.

Great tip about putting a light coat of wax on your furniture. That would be super helpful for making wooden furniture shine. I'll have to consider getting a new couch with some wooden accents.

It was really helpful when you mentioned that it is a good idea to use water when trying to wipe wooden furniture clean. My wife and I would like to get a new set of wooden chairs for our dining room this week. It might be a good idea for us to wipe the chairs down once we get them in our dining room.

It captivated me the most when you mentioned that we can simply take care of our furniture by wiping it with a damp soft rag. My friend should know this since she's planning to buy furniture. I think it's time to search our area for furniture stores that sells affordable items.

I do agree that when looking for furniture, it is advisable that we are mindful of the material so that we have an idea of its quality. The other day my neighbor said she is looking to have her outdoor furniture replaced. I will remind her to look for something that is weather-proof.

It really helped when you said that choosing a high-grade natural product will get you the best results. I hope that I can find a custom furniture professional we can trust near us to ensure that they will use the right materials. They have to be able to withstand the moisture because it rains at times in our area even in the summer.

Last week, my mom mentioned she's interested in buying new furniture for her vacation home. It's great that you explained how we'd keep wooden furniture looking good for a long time, so I'll call my mom later and suggest she reads your tips now. Thanks for the information on how controlling your home's humidity levels could increase your wooden furniture's lifespan.
