Functionality and beauty really converge in this island! The primitive split front doors are patterned after early Shaker styles. A center shelf separates the area behind the doors for ultimate organization. The inside area is about 18" deep to accommodate even large pans, roasters, or platters. Three drawers across the top conveniently hold utensils, hot mats, etc.
Our Island's counter tops are made with Wormy Maple wood, an extra durable hardwood. The random pinhole details in Wormy Maple wood are beautiful primitive style. The cabinet area is made of pine wood.
Adequate overhang across the back for seating 2 to 3 people. We are able to customize the size of the top, extending it longer on each end, so the seating can wrap around to seat a total of 5 people.
We highly recommend purchasing one these bar stool options: Basic Round Bar Stool, Saddle Stool, or Swivel Bar Stool with Back. These stools are crafted with excellent joinery! A stool is only as strong as its weakest joint. When one leg or spindle becomes loose or shakey, the entire stool is on it's way to breaking apart. Our stools are very sturdy and will outlive other styles! You can be confident to set these up to your new Island, knowing they will be 'fit as a fiddle' for many years!
Detailing of Wormy Maple Wood is shown on this chair seat. Every piece is unique. Every piece contains random pin holes that beautifully accent primitive furniture. You may also order clear Maple (no wormholes) for an up-charge, if that is your preference.
